1. PAYMENT PROCESSING & AUTHORIZED METHODS
All transactions on Unikaway.com are processed securely using Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified third-party payment processor. By placing an order, you authorize Unikaway and Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the total amount displayed at checkout.
- Authorized Cardholder: You warrant that you are the authorized cardholder or registered account owner of the payment method used.
- Accepted Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options via Stripe.
2. BUY NOW, PAY LATER (BNPL) SERVICES
Unikaway offers flexible payment plans through third-party BNPL providers, including Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay.
- Third-Party Credit Agreements: When selecting a BNPL option, you enter into a separate, binding financing agreement directly with the respective BNPL provider (Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay). Their terms, interest rates, late fees, and credit reporting policies apply.
- Refunds & Installments: If a travel supplier authorizes a refund for a BNPL-funded booking, Unikaway will credit the refunded amount back to the BNPL provider via Stripe. You remain responsible for completing installment payments to the BNPL provider until the refund is processed and cleared by the provider. Unikaway is not responsible for interest accrued or late fees charged by BNPL providers.
3. PRICING, TAXES, AND PRE-AUTHORIZATION HOLDS
- Total Charges: All displayed totals include base travel rates, estimated government taxes, and Unikaway administrative service fees ("Taxes & Fees").
- Currency Conversion: All transactions are billed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Unikaway is not responsible for currency conversion surcharges, exchange rate fluctuations, or foreign transaction fees imposed by your bank or card issuer.
- Pre-Authorization Holds: Your payment method may undergo a temporary pre-authorization hold while your booking is being processed by the travel supplier. If a booking request is declined or unavailable, this hold will be released automatically by your issuing bank.
4. CREDIT CARD FRAUD & SECURITY VERIFICATION
- Fraud Detection: Transactions are monitored by automated fraud-prevention tools. We reserve the right to request additional cardholder verification (such as government-issued ID) before issuing travel tickets.
- Cancellation for Suspicious Activity: Unikaway reserves the absolute right to cancel any order and refund the transaction if unauthorized card use, identity theft, or fraudulent activity is suspected.
5. NON-REFUNDABLE PROCESSING FEES & CHARGEBACK LIABILITY
- Non-Refundable Merchant Fees: In the event of a cancellation or refund authorized by a travel supplier, payment processing merchant fees incurred by Stripe or administrative service fees retained by Unikaway are non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
- Chargeback Expense Recovery: You agree to contact Unikaway customer support at info@unikaway.com to resolve billing disputes prior to filing a dispute with your bank or BNPL provider. If an improper or fraudulent chargeback is initiated for a valid booking, non-refundable reservation, or merchant delay, Unikaway reserves the right to hold you personally liable for the full transaction value, merchant dispute fees, chargeback recovery expenses, collection agency costs, and legal fees.
6. DELAYED FULFILLMENT & SUPPLIER RATE ADJUSTMENTS
Completing payment at checkout constitutes an order request. A booking is only finalized when travel tickets or reservation vouchers are issued by the travel supplier. Unikaway is not liable for rate increases or lost inventory caused by declined payments, bank holds, or processing delays.
